Well, I had decided to draw a dragon, and since I haven't drawn one in forever I decided to go really detailed. Then the idea for the background wandered into my crazed mind. :evillaugh: The background was sorta based on/inspired by that place in the music video for the AFI song "Girl's Not Grey".
Mhm. I'm really happy with how this came out. Like, bouncing off the walls thrilled happy (except the shading on the dragon SUCKS. Plus the camera flash screwed up the stars, I used a silver gel pen for them but now it looks like I used Paint or something to put them in there). I guess I tried to combine the typical fantasy world of your average 7 year old girl (unicorns, pink, purple, little fuzzy critters (which I purposely screwed up the anatomy on), flowery trees, etc) with... my happy place? xD
Anywho... in my opinion this pwns. I love it. <333

I for some reason love the white wolf's (Or are they coyotes? They come off as coyote-ish to me. o_o) head and face. The unicorn drinking from the bloody stream rocks as well. :nod:
I need to do something with a bloody river now. Chyoo has inspireedeh meeeh. :XD:

Yes, this was the fairy-tale-death world. The white one was supposed to a be a wolf, the orange-ish one was supposed to resemble a fox, I guess you could say the others resemble coyotes but none of them have a really definate species. The unicorn itself I'm happy with, though I screwed up the shading badly. The bloody river scared my mom. xD

Cuz I'm really careless and I made no attempt at hiding my sketchbook, I guess she flipped through it while I was in the shower or something. Oh well, scaring people is fun anyway. xD
